Testimonials

Two of my children have taken classes with Marilyn and we were incredibly impressed with the thoughtfulness and creativity that she helped inspire in their work! Marilyn is a dedicated teacher, with a lot of experience, and it shows in the way she tailors her lessons to the different ages she works with. My sons were able to focus on different subjects and artists, while creating work that reflected their personalities. We are definitely continuing her classes and highly recommend her as a teacher!” Bryna B.

My third child is about to start at Marilyn’s and I can’t wait to see what he does. I know it will build his confidence and self esteem. Marilyn guides and encourages my kids to get in touch with their creativity, but also to be dedicated and give each project the effort and time it deserves. I was blown away by the quality of the artwork my children produced.Mary Kay S.

“My kids have had many happy years at Marilyn’s art class. They met new friends, embraced the fun and challenging work, and made memorable art. It is a stimulating environment for both the serious art student and the creative kid in need of after school activities. Christine S.

The Studio

Located in Ditmas Park, we enjoy art classes utilizing the indoor house studio as well as an open carriage door backyard studio during the warmer months.

Marilyn has a beautiful open-air studio which is perfect for working during the warmer months.” - Bryna B.

What we do

During the course of the year, every student will have the opportunity to explore a variety of materials and techniques.

We draw, paint, collage, and sculpt.

Due to the complex nature of some projects and the joy and dedication of my students, most projects take 2-4 classes to complete.

Proud Kids, Proud Families

At the culmination of classes in June, students have a chance to exhibit their work to friends and family.

The year-end gallery show is a genuinely wonderful event and all the work, not only my child’s, is enjoyable to look at.” Christine S.
